Job description

Samsaraโ€™s Internet of Things solution โ€“ which includes fleet technologies ranging from GPS tracking to route optimization to AI-powered dash cameras โ€“ is being adopted by thousands of new customers every quarter, helping them improve the safety, efficiency, and quality of their operations.

We are looking for a highly creative, operations-minded Brand Merchandiser to create and effectively track and distribute memorable, high-quality Samsara physical merchandise to improve our employee and customer experiences. The right candidate is a strategic thinker and bar-raiser that acts as a creator and steward of the Samsara physical brand. This role will have a direct impact on Samsara's culture and success.


  • Manage the Samsara merchandise program: budget, new merchandise ideation and creation, quarterly ordering and distribution of 100+ products across 10+ teams and 5+ locations, as well as internal and external merchandise order fulfillment
  • Ownership of tracking and distribution of Samsara merchandise in partnership with our full-time brand contractor and our internal point of sales (POS) system: maintain an accurate inventory of all merchandise on- and off-site, ownership of a seamless, futuristic employee experience at all Samsara office โ€˜swag storesโ€™, and fulfillment of all internal and external merchandise orders
  • Craft unique and high-quality merchandise for initiatives like product launches, customer summits, partnership and recruiting events, and customer holiday gifts
  • Partner with recruiting, people operations, talent brand, customer brand, events, and sales to find new ways to use merchandise to enhance experiences, mark milestones, and drive loyalty
  • Act as the steward to the physical Samsara brand and ensure global consistency through methods like the creation of merchandising guidelines, internal merchandise reviews, and physical brand office hours


  • 2-3+ years of experience in marketing, consulting, branding, merchandising, or events
  • Strong creativity and an eye for quality
  • Problem solver that uses data to drive decisions
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills and an ability to prioritize amidst many moving pieces
  • Detail-oriented, high-energy, positive disposition and excellent communications skills
  • Bias-to-action and focused on results
  • Experience working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment with multiple vendor relationships
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
