About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller. In this role, you’ll report to our VP Corporate Controller and lead general ledger, and payroll activities.

What You'll Do:

Be a leader and manage a team of 3-4 high performers.
Be responsible for all general ledger activities (prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, etc).
Be responsible for recording payroll including bi-weekly payments in Netsuite.
Be responsible for month end close and reconciliations.
Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Work closely with our auditors.
Challenge the status quo and look for areas of improvement.
Define and operationalize our internal control environment.

What You Need:

Bachelor in accounting (or equivalent).
CPA preferred.
Corporate accounting experience.
Netsuite experience preferred.
Nice to have system experiences includes: Airbase, Rippling

Location: This role is based full-time in our Birmingham, AL Office.
