Business Intelligence Analytics Lead - Otter

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering high-performance and a collaborative environment.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple functions, including sales, operations, and product teams, to define key business questions and analytics strategies.
• Develop and drive the team's roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability of reporting and analytics solutions.
• Oversee the design and implementation of data models, pipelines, and ETL processes to enable reliable, scalable, and automated analytics using SQL, Python, and cloud-based data warehousing technologies like BigQuery and Redshift.
• Guide the development of dashboards, visualizations, and reporting frameworks to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership by analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends, and supporting key business initiatives.
• Implement best practices in data governance, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance across all reporting and analytics efforts.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the data team, identifying opportunities to optimize processes, tools, and data infrastructure.

What we’re looking for

• 3-5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or relevant field.
• 1-2+ years of experience leading and managing data analytics teams, with a track record of delivering high-impact insights and data solutions.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling best practices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehousing technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, MS Azure, and AWS.
• Expertise in ETL development and data pipeline automation.
• Experience with Python, R, or other programming languages used in data workflows.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and drive clarity.
