DevOps Engineer - Laboratory Infrastructure (Columbus, OH) - Corelight

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer - Laboratory Infrastructure to oversee our development laboratory environment in our Columbus, OH offices. This role plays a critical part  in ensuring the smooth operation, optimization, and innovation of our development, testing, and deployment processes. This position requires a strong understanding of server lab principles, infrastructure management, and automation tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain the infrastructure of our development laboratory environment including servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
• Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to streamline deployment, testing, and monitoring processes.
• Use monitoring and logging solutions to track system performance, resource utilization, and application health.
• Respond to incidents and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain service levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, product, and customer success to support development and deployment activities.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in lab management or related roles including cage layout, lab troubleshooting, and rack, stack and deployment of new hardware.
• Proficiency in any modern scripting language (Python, Bash, Powershell, etc.)
• Familiarity with using monitoring and logging tools to debug issues (Splunk, Prometheus, ELK, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• In-depth knowledge of configuration management tools (Terraform, Chef)

Location:

This position is based in Columbus, Ohio and may require occasional travel.
