About the Role

Join our ambitious team as the first product designer. We’re seeking a generalist passionate about design and delivering top-tier user experiences. You’ll work on user-facing products and contribute throughout the entire product development process. The role will be hybrid in New York at the Ascertain headquarters.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design direction of the whole company - building out design systems, contributing to brand identity etc. 
• Develop a deep understanding of our users and their needs by partnering with product on user research
• Work cross-functionally with engineers and other partners
• Create flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
• Work closely with engineers and other partners to ensure a high-quality implementation
• Help with hiring and establishing a design culture within the company

What You Have

• At least four years of experience designing and building interactive applications with cross-functional teams
• Excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills
• Familiarity with service design
• Experience in fast-moving work environments and the ability to quickly ideate and iterate during the design process
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Strong opinions that you’re constantly looking to revise with new data and information
• Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare is a plus

Additional Details

• For this role, the base salary range is $130,000 - $180,000 with an eligible cash bonus. A salary offer will be determined by several factors including experience, skill level, education, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
• Total compensation also includes a stock option grant and a competitive benefits package.
• This role is hybrid in our NYC Office and open to candidates in the US.
