Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

Product Manager, Recycling

As a Product Manager at Redwood Materials, you will play a critical role in shaping our feedstock pricing strategy and positioning intermediate products for sale. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and sales, to ensure profitability and market success. If you are passionate about sustainability, innovation, and driving impact, this role is for you.

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Feedstock Pricing:
    • Develop and implement pricing strategies for feedstock materials, including end-of-life batteries and production scrap.
    • Analyze market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and cost structures to optimize pricing decisions.
    • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
  • Profitability Accountability:
    • Work closely with operations teams to monitor and evaluate production processes.
    • Hold operations accountable for cost efficiency, waste reduction, and overall profitability.
    • Identify areas for process improvement and cost optimization.
  • Intermediate Product Positioning:
    • Own the positioning of intermediate products within the battery materials value chain.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and market dynamics.
    • Develop a clear product roadmap, considering market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback.
  • Pricing Strategy and Roadmap:
    • Define pricing models for intermediate products, balancing value proposition and market competitiveness.
    • Create and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with Redwood’s overall business goals.
    • Regularly review and adjust pricing strategies based on market dynamics and business performance.. 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in product management, pricing strategy, or supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and circular economy principles.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
