Senior DevOps Engineer - VIZIT

The Challenge:
We have a live, production user-facing App and all the challenges that come along with being a scrappy and hungry Start Up. Our highly experienced engineering teams need an unlock that only a dedicated and talented DevOps engineer can offer. We need a seasoned DevOps engineer who’s been through something like this before. What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to keep deployments smooth and efficient.
• Implement automation frameworks and tools for infrastructure provisioning using Python and AWS.
• Work closely with the Engineering and Research leadership to build a robust testing strategy given department needs.
• Support integration testing and deployment processes to ensure stable releases.
• Continuously improve system performance, availability, and scalability.
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to keep everything running smoothly.
• Tailor Observability solutions to give key insights to the platform as well as offer BI to various stakeholders across the organization. 

What We're Looking For:

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, with experience working on large-scale refactoring or re-architecture projects within the Amazon AWS ecosystem. 
• Strong experience with AWS services like Lambda, EC2, SQS, SNS, and VPCs.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and building deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Experience with IaC principals in general and Terraform from the ground up.
• Experience in automation and test harness creation to support fast-moving Engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of Linux and system administration (Bash/Python/PowerShell).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a "get-it-done" mindset.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in big data environments or ETL pipelines.
• Experience with MLOps tooling like MLFlow or Kubeflow.
• Familiarity with Databricks.
• Familiarity with serverless event-driven architecture and AWS Lambda optimizations.
• Experience tackling AWS service limits and tuning Lambda configurations.
