Sr. Analyst or Manager, Strategic Finance - Metropolis

Location: Los Angeles, CA; New York City, NY (Hybrid)

The Role

This role provides a unique opportunity to drive finance business partnership and strategy at a company that is changing the paradigm for how technology company’s scale. We are looking for a Finance Manager who will help support the integration of our latest acquisition (SP+) and ensure we are able to meet our growth targets. You will partner with teams across the business including Sales, Strategy, Operations, Product, and the core Accounting & Finance teams to support strategic business and financial decisions. You will develop and own financial models and forecasts and business-partner to weigh-in on recommendations. You will also support our growth initiatives by program-managing progress and developing key measurement and reporting infrastructure. 

Responsibilities 

• Analyze operational/financial data, uncover trends and assess current/future business risks and opportunities 

• Own models and analyses to balance growth vs. profitability 

• Work with cross-functional partners to develop new processes and policies 

• Design and refine detailed financial forecasting models 

• Develop reporting along with support infrastructure and measurement guidelines to communicate KPIs to senior management 

Requirements  

• 5+ years of relevant finance experience preferred; SaaS and/or IoT experience strongly preferred 

• Experience partnering with Senior Leadership and ability to influence at all levels of an organization 

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with experience developing and delivering presentations 

• Expertise in building Excel-based financial models, with an emphasis on aggregating and analyzing data to provide actionable insights 

• Manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision, working in team environments or independently 

• Experience with headcount reconciliation and month-end budget/forecast vs actuals reconciliation 

• Experience in both public and private company environments, preferably with high growth 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field required 

• Experience with financial systems: ERPs (NetSuite, Great Plains), Planning Software (Adaptive, Anaplan, Pigment), Payroll/HRIS (Dayforce, ADP), Expense Software (Navan, Expensify, Coupa), Salesforce 

• Ability to work with a low-ego, highly collaborative, cross-functional team 

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a strong focus on organization and formatting

The anticipated base salary for this position is $120,000.00 to $140,000.00. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
