At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.  

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

At GoDaddy, we are looking to hire a skilled leader with a commerce and finance background and analytical abilities. This role involves leading operational aspects of transaction risk and mitigating payment activity risks on GoDaddy and affiliated websites. You will also establish and drive the strategic operational vision. The ideal candidate will have the rare blend of deep technical knowledge and a discernment for business, empowering them to make key decisions quickly and autonomously. This leader will play an integral role in crafting the future of transaction risk management while supporting entrepreneurs in their journey to build exceptional world-class businesses!

What you'll get to do...

  • Guide the operational strategy for assigned functions, ensuring that the team excels at core operating processes and procedures. Keep track of key initiatives and prioritize across functional areas
  • Leading operational transaction risk teams 24/7 to mitigate payment fraud, viral code abuse, commission abuse, free trial registration abuse, chargebacks, and overall risk on GoDaddy and its affiliated websites. Continuously evolving policies and procedures to optimize work processes, provide exceptional results, and systems
  • Analyze loss data and derive actionable optimizations to prevent/detect fraud/abuse, improve customer experience, and grow detection and recovery rates
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure the success of a multi-layer transaction risk program. This includes implementing additional controls, improving existing fraud rules/systems, and working closely with support teams to improve reporting/alerts
  • Act as primary subject matter authority on transaction risk standard methodologies, fraud/abuse trends, and mitigation technology; reviewing new products, services, payment methods, brands, compliance, and organizational change initiatives to assess transaction risk, leading efforts to suggest, improve and implement the appropriate mitigations
  • Lead and coordinate projects, establishing business requirements, and ensuring appropriate testing levels while acting as a liaison between internal teams and, if needed, external vendors
  • Provide tools and training to both direct and indirect employees for success. Leading and guiding the team through one-on-one sessions, team meetings, quality assurance reviews, hiring, terminations, corrective actions, and performance evaluations

Your experience should include...

  • 10+ years experience in fraud detection, loss prevention, and transaction risk management. along with outstanding leadership skills and a successful track record in implementing risk strategies in a fast-paced setting
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets to resolve risk factors and develop mitigations
  • Experience with industry-standard risk management tools and technologies
