This role requires a balance of technical leadership, mentorship, and hands-on development to ensure the delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions across our Salesforce platform.

To succeed in this role, you should have deep Salesforce expertise, strong application development skills, and the ability to solve complex problems in large-scale, multi-tenant Salesforce orgs. You will mentor developers, optimize DevOps workflows, and collaborate cross-functionally to align Salesforce solutions with business objectives.

Location Options: This role can be based in Las Vegas, NV / Center Valley, PA / Atlanta, GA / Morrisville, NC / Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance may be available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Salesforce engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
    • Conduct regular code reviews, ensuring high-quality, scalable development.
    • Serve as a technical escalation point, troubleshooting complex issues and guiding solution design.
    • Promote continuous learning to keep the team up to date with Salesforce advancements.
  • Technical Strategy & Development:
    • Define and enforce Salesforce development best practices, including coding standards, DevOps workflows, and governance frameworks.
    • Architect and implement scalable, high-performance solutions using Flows, OmniScript, Apex, LWC, and Platform Events.
    • Balance declarative vs. programmatic solutions, prioritizing low-code approaches where possible.
    • Oversee Salesforce integrations leveraging Change Data Capture, Platform Events, and APIs.
  • Player-Coach Development & Agile Delivery:
    • Actively contribute to high-priority development efforts, following best practices and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
    • Guide user story refinement, identifying technical gaps and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Drive Salesforce DevOps & CI/CD best practices using Gearset, Git, and automation tools.
    • Optimize Salesforce security, performance, and governance for enterprise-scale operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
    • Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and Business Stakeholders to design and deliver scalable solutions.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies, influencing sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical grooming.
    • Advocate for process improvements in development, DevOps, and documentation.
  • Operational Excellence & Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure high-quality engineering standards, maintaining compliance with security and performance benchmarks.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve production and development issues, ensuring minimal business disruption.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for development standards, technical solutions, and best practices.

 Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of Salesforce development experience, with expertise in Apex, LWC, Flows, and OmniScript.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, managing Salesforce developers and guiding technical strategy.
  • Strong background in Salesforce DevOps (Gearset, Git, CI/CD) and Agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in Salesforce integration patterns, including Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and APIs.
  • Proven ability to balance hands-on development with team management.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Architect-level certifications (Application, System, or Technical Architect).
  • Experience working in Financial Services Cloud or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of MuleSoft, Data Modeling, and Large-Scale Salesforce Implementations.
