Operations Analyst - ComplyAdvantage

What you will be doing:

As an Operations Analyst (BA), you will work within the Engineering Operations Team with a focus on incident management and reporting. You possess curiosity and focus to drive improvements across key performance indicators including Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Post Mortems (PMs), Mean Time to Detection (MTTD), and Mean Time to Mitigation (MTTM).

Whilst you may not have experience in any of the above, you have excellent analytical skills and a keen attention to detail. You are a critical thinker who is focused on continuous improvement. You have experience using cloud-based services and are comfortable to configure and fine-tune applications.

ComplyAdvantage supports a flexible, hybrid working environment. Our expectation is that the successful applicant for this particular role will be in the Cluj office on average a couple of days a week. This role may also involve occasional travel to our global Head Office in London. We are customer-focused; this role is new and reflects our commitment to incident management. You have an opportunity to make an impact in a highly visible area of our business, with reports being closely monitored by our Executive team. This role will consist of a variety of activities, and no two days will ever look the same! 

As an Operations Analyst, you will

• manage, own and if necessary reconfigure the incident workflow
• monitor and guarantee incident post mortem process and sign off; convert post mortem findings to documents that can be shared with customers
• track remedial actions with product teams in Jira
• track SLAs by customer
• provide, present and discuss a range of reporting statistics on a monthly (calendar and rolling) basis, through reports produced in Google Docs:
• by product
• by service for internal consumption
• by region
• track, in particular:
• mean time to detection
• mean time to diagnosis
• mean time to mitigation

About you:

As an Operations Analyst, you must have

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Product configuration skills
• Excellent understanding of spreadsheets, and the ability to demonstrate those skills
• Ability to produce and present slide and document based reports for management
• Good written and oral communication skills; comfortable reaching out to users at all levels in the company to request information
• Confidence to ask for help when you cannot find answers
• Experience working in a Technology or FinTech business

Nice to haves

• Understanding of BI products such as Looker is highly desirable, but training would be provided if required
• Familiarity with modern collaboration and office productivity tools, including Google Workspace & Google Meets, Jira & Confluence and Slack, 
• Experience with delivering service desk / IT helpdesk services. Hands-on experience managing and supporting Jira Service Management
• Programming skills are not required, but they are a bonus!
• Proven experience in a mid-size company in a support-oriented role

Education:

• Bachelor  degree in a field related to computer science, mathematics / applied mathematics  or related discipline as well as at least 2 years of work experience 
• OR equivalent years of experience in required skills.
