Job Description
A World-Changing Company

Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more.

The Role

Palantir Technologies' Proposal and Capture Strategy Team, known internally as the Wordsmiths, seeks a versatile writer and project manager to win new public and private sector opportunities.

Wordsmiths work closely with Palantir's engineering, business development, and legal teams to articulate Palantir's value proposition on a wide range of topics. We craft compelling prose to explain how our technology addresses critical issues faced by public institutions and commercial enterprises. Our outputs include strategic and technical analyses of complex IT procurements, as well as detailed responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) / requests for tenders (RFTs). Wordsmiths also lead a range of business development (BD), capture management, and proposal management efforts. This includes qualifying new opportunities, partnering with BD counterparts to identify the most effective pursuit strategies, and overseeing complex, multi-vendor BD processes.

This role is a unique opportunity to develop and demonstrate broad expertise in bid tradecraft, technical writing, and enterprise BD strategy. If you believe in the transformational power of data and technology and in your own ability to bring that power to bear against complex problems, we want to meet you.
Core Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with counterparts in engineering, legal, sales, and leadership teams to shape strategy and shepherd engagements from initial meeting to contract signing, including all written communications and proposals
  • Identify, research, and qualify opportunities in collaboration with the broader business development, engineering, and executive teams
  • Serve as primary author and project manager on market research and RFP / RFT responses
  • Develop deep familiarity with Palantir's software platforms and how they can be used to solve a wide range of real-world problems
  • Occasional international travel
  • What We Value
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts and differentiators through compelling written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work effectively while navigating an evolving, fast-paced work environment
  • Effective commercial acumen, including assessing competitive position and advising business development teams on how to best proceed
  • In-depth knowledge of public procurement, with the ability to plan and deliver capture strategies in line with various common purchasing routes

  • What We Require
  • Experience writing and managing competitive RFP / RFT responses.
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Everything You Need, One Platform.
