In this role, you will be part of the team that's responsible for the optimisation of Roku Cloud Services and working on end-to-end implementation from device to cloud side. The features and performance improvements you implement directly impact millions of users every day. This is a great role for an experienced professional who has innovative ideas for complex problems and can translate these ideas into ultra-reliable software.

What you will be doing

Designing and implementing highly scalable, reliable cloud services, tools, and automation frameworks.
Translating functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designs.
Writing and reviewing code, evaluating architectural tradeoffs for performance and security.
Participating in architecture and design discussions, taking ownership and responsibility over new projects.
Managing individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with limited supervision.
You will be responsible for streamlining and tuning existing pipeline as well as building new ones. Making sure the systems run efficiently and with minimal cost is a top priority
You will also be responsible for supporting internal customers and on call services for the systems we host. Making sure we provided stable environment and great user experience is another top priority for the team

We are excited if you have

5+ years of relevant experience
Excellent modern C++ programming skills.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, multi-threaded development and concurrency management running on the Linux operating system.
Ability to architect, implement, and test systems for performance
Proven track record of success with developing highly efficient and optimised cloud solutions
Hands-on experience with public cloud AWS or GCP
Embedded software development in Linux environment a plus
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, or equivalent engineering experience.
