We are seeking a talented Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Computational Biology and Machine Learning to work hybrid based in our South San Francisco office.

ArsenalBio is looking for a founding Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the charge in creating our AI platform! As our very first ML engineering hire, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build our ML infrastructure from scratch, shape our technical strategy, and assemble a top-tier engineering team that powers AI-driven drug discovery. WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Design and implement the foundational ML architecture to power our next generation of cell therapy discovery platforms. Profile machine learning workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to increase efficiency and hardware utilization.
  • Define technical standards and establish MLOps practices for the organization, including experiment tracking, model versioning, and automated deployment pipelines
  • Implement MLOps solutions and integrations of our ML platforms with other software systems.
  • Collaborate with product, design, front-end, machine learning, and infrastructure teams.
  • Train and mentor fellow ML engineers.

  • WHO YOU ARE
  • Masters with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Bachelors with 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven track record of architecting production ML systems from scratch, with experience making strategic technical decisions that impact organization-wide ML capabilities
  • Experience implementing, extending, and debugging state-of-the-art machine learning models, and have expertise in designing and building robust data infrastructure and tools
  • Experience in applying deep learning to model biological data
  • Strong software engineering skills and substantial expertise in Python
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary environment
