The Role

We’re seeking a seasoned marketer to lead the marketing function for SoFi’s suite of credit cards.  This includes owning the value proposition, go-to-market plan, acquisition and engagement strategy and leading a team of individual contributors who will deliver outcomes towards your vision.  This role plays a critical function in accelerating acquisition among our target audience and realizing the benefits of using one of our credit cards.  This is a highly cross-functional role, both within our Marketing team and the cross-functional teams such as finance, product, engineering, risk and the business unit.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as the CMO for your products with a vision on the long-term strategy & near-term execution 
  • Create & lead marketing strategies based out of consumer & competitive insights
  • Develop creative briefs and approve the creative that will get deployed across channels.  Iterate frequently on the product positioning, value proposition and go-to-market strategy. 
  • Manage the channel allocation mix and bonus strategy to optimize acquisition
  • Manage the prioritization of engagement initiatives in lifecycle marketing to drive product usage
  • Partner closely with the credit risk and business unit functions to align our targeting and underwriting strategy to deliver on our profitability objectives 

What you’ll need:

  • 15+ years of relevant marketing experience, including consumer product marketing, with quantifiable revenue responsibility
  • Credit card acquisition experience, especially working with the credit risk function and working on key channels such as direct mail and affiliates 
  • Strategy and Execution: Experience combining strategic thinking with tactical execution to drive customer acquisition through diverse channels
  • Customer Research: Experience in leading quantitative and qualitative customer research and distill it into actionable insights
  • Analytics: Use data to drive strategy, execution, and optimization
  • Initiative & Bias for Action: Eagerness to roll up your sleeves to get things done (even the unglamorous things)
  • Flexibility: Problem-solve in a fast-paced, self-driven environment
  • Growth: Proven track record of building budgets and programs that support efficient growth
  • Bachelor’s degree required

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
