THE ROLE

Staff Software Engineer wanted in San Francisco, CA to Architect, develop and own the Company’s Marketing Platform

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and executives to develop a roadmap
• Build the next generation comprehensive, multichannel marketing solution that unifies and unlocks data across digital touch points, driving return on marketing investment
• Design and develop the Platform Work on technology that enables access to core of CRM and Data Cloud efforts. Use knowledge of distributed systems and cloud architecture.
• Use knowledge of distributed systems and cloud architecture. Balance production features. Support, feature delivery, and retirement of technical debt.
• Build self-healing services with robust error handling.
• Design and operate resilient distributed systems that run across hundreds of compute nodes in multiple data centers.
• Drive and deliver thin slices of end-to-end functionality on a regular cadence with data-driven feedback loops.
• Use programming skills with specific focus on parallel and multithreaded programming. Use multi-tenant architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), RESTful web-services, Microservices, Big Data technologies (e.g. HBase, Spark, Elasticsearch) in building real-time data pipelines and streaming applications (e.g. Kafka, Amazon Kinesis) that scale horizontally.
• Use knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, data warehouses such as Snowflake/ ClickHouse/Redshift on one or more of the Clouds like AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Use graph Database as well as big data formats (Parquet, ORC).

Option to telecommute two days a week.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science plus 5 years of experience in job offered or similar occupation

Salary expectations: $220,320/yr
