Granicus is looking for a highly motivated Senior Associate, Corporate Development, reporting to the Director of FP&A. The ideal candidate is expected to have a history of successfully leading quantitative financial analyses in support of strategic decisions. This role will be a key partner between the FP&A organization and the VP of Corporate Development and Strategy and will participate in all elements of the M&A process (deal modeling, transaction execution and post-merger integration).

What your impact will look like here
  • In partnership with Corporate Development, assist in the evaluation and execution of potential M&A opportunities, including due diligence and developing the business case, financial model, and valuation analyses
  • Partner with the VP of Corporate Strategy & Development on post-M&A integration activities
  • Work closely with the executive leaders to develop the go-forward metrics to track the success & progress of acquired companies
  • Partner with the FP&A team and private equity sponsors to finance acquisitions through a combination of cash, debt, and equity
  • Support the assessment of potential partnerships and other corporate development opportunities
  • Deliver strategic projects end-to-end, including the definition of the problem, structure of analysis, and data collection
  • Craft storyline and prepare presentations for executive leadership and board of directors
  • You will love this job if you have
  • BS/BA/BBA in Business, Finance, Engineering, Math, or related degree; MBA preferred
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in corporate FP&A, investment banking, strategy consulting, venture capital / private equity, and/or corporate development
  • Experience and/or interest in technology, including SaaS / application software preferred
  • Track record and familiarity with M&A processes
  • Robust analytical & quantitative skills, including ability to analyze complex financial transactions
  • Results oriented with a strong attention to detail
  • Fundamental understanding of key accounting & finance principles, including reading and analyzing financial statements
  • Demonstrated success in a high pressure, dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Superior communications skills, both written & verbal
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong presentation development skills; high proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
  • Complex problem-solving skills; innovative with the ability to create differentiated analysis based on the situation
  • Ability to travel as needed (estimated <25% of time)
