About the Role
We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Outbound Sales Development Manager to lead and scale our outbound prospecting efforts. This role is responsible for building, coaching, and managing a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) focused on pipeline generation. You will play a critical role in shaping our outbound strategy, optimizing outreach processes, and ensuring that our SDR team consistently hits and exceeds targets.
In this role, you will work closely with the Account-Based Marketing (ABM) team to design and execute highly personalized outreach strategies, ensuring our SDRs engage target accounts through a multi-channel approach, including email, social, SMS, in-person events, and other strategic touchpoints. You will also partner directly with sales counterparts to identify, prioritize, and target high-value accounts, driving engagement and accelerating pipeline growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Develop SDR Team: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of SDRs, ensuring they are equipped to generate qualified opportunities.
- Strategic Outbound Prospecting: Partner closely with the ABM team to develop highly personalized outreach campaigns for strategic accounts, leveraging insights to drive engagement.
- Multi-Channel Engagement: Ensure SDRs execute targeted outreach via email, social media, SMS, phone, direct mail, and in-person events to maximize engagement and conversion.
- Alignment with Sales & ABM: Work hand-in-hand with sales counterparts to align on high-value account targeting, engagement strategies, and lead handoff processes to optimize pipeline performance.
- Sales Playbook & Processes: Develop and refine outbound sales playbooks, cadences, and best practices to maximize efficiency and conversion rates.
- Performance Management: Monitor and analyze key metrics (e.g., meetings booked, conversion rates, pipeline contribution) to ensure consistent performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Tech Stack Optimization: Ensure SDRs effectively utilize CRM, sales engagement tools, and automation platforms to streamline prospecting.
- Coaching & Training: Provide ongoing coaching on objection handling, value-based selling, and effective prospecting techniques.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on outbound sales trends and continuously experiment with new strategies to drive better results.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven Experience: 3+ years of experience in an outbound sales development leadership role, preferably in a SaaS or B2B sales environment.
- Track Record of Success: Demonstrated ability to build and scale high-performing SDR teams that consistently exceed pipeline goals.
- ABM & Sales Alignment Experience: Strong understanding of account-based marketing and experience in collaborating with sales and marketing teams to drive targeted engagement.
- Multi-Channel Sales Expertise: Hands-on experience with email, social, SMS, and event-based prospecting strategies to engage high-value accounts effectively.
- Leadership & Coaching: Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to inspire and develop a team.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement strategies that drive growth.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.), sales engagement platforms (Outreach, Salesloft, etc.), and prospecting tools (ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
- Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to craft compelling outbound messaging.
- Resilient & Results-Driven: Passion for outbound sales, a relentless drive to achieve targets, and a willingness to iterate and improve.
