Product Designer- Drive Thru - Toast

Location: This role is hybrid located in the Costa Mesa, CA office. This role will require up to 10% of the time to visit customers and teams in Boston, Dublin, Toronto, and London.

We are seeking a Product Designer with a deep passion for crafting exceptional user experiences across a variety of user types and interfaces. In this role, you will play a pivotal part to ensure that every touchpoint—whether on hardware or digital interfaces—enhances usability and performance. Your ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt to new challenges will be essential in shaping the future of our global products.

About The Roll*

• Collaborate with UX, product management, engineering, and marketing to understand users, translating that understanding into design artifacts that shape thinking and guide development
• Design intuitive experiences across hardware, responsive web, and native mobile platforms, delivering clear and actionable wireframes, workflows, and prototypes that ensure seamless interaction across physical and digital touchpoints
• Regularly conduct design reviews to obtain feedback, iterating on the designs to improve results
• Conduct and support user research studies that generate insights to positively impact product design

• Experience applying holistic design approaches, including journey mapping, to create cohesive and engaging user experiences.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, learning quickly and adapting to new challenges.
• Proven experience designing intuitive, scalable UI for hardware devices, ensuring seamless physical-digital interactions with a focus on usability, accessibility, and performance.
• Track record of shipping high-quality, consumer-grade products.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Figma and other prototyping and design collaboration tools.
• Strong design craft with expertise in rapid prototyping and iteration
