As a Senior Design Engineer, you are the cornerstone of delivering the ultimate user experience. You will be entrusted with the highest level of polish, creativity, and interaction design, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the most innovative areas of our product. This role offers the unique opportunity to have broad creative license, empowering you to lead and create groundbreaking solutions and experiences that marry aesthetics with functionality, making data more accessible and actionable for our customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Design and build exceptional experiences, ensuring the highest level of polish, creativity, and interaction to solve complex customer problems.
  • Help launch novel 0-1 product concepts and ideas, in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers.
  • Support the design and development of Snowflake's design system, promoting quality and craft across all surfaces.
  • Employ a keen eye for detail to ensure a seamless and visually compelling experience.
  • Build realistic prototypes that help us validate hypotheses.
  • Mentor junior designers and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the team.
  • Stay abreast of emerging design trends, technologies, and methodologies to bring fresh ideas and approaches to the team.

ABOUT YOU:

  • 5+ years of experience designing and building high-quality UIs
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a portfolio that showcases your ability to deliver polished, creative, and highly interactive designs
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills, capable of leading projects and working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong web development skills (React JS, CSS3, JS/Typescript, NodeJS)
  • Figma master and familiar with advanced prototyping tools such as Framer
  • Strong understanding of visual design fundamentals (including layout, typography, and color)

  • Knowledge of databases and associated concepts
